Adobe's launching their Creative Suite 5 on Monday. They're holding an online presentation about CS5 on that same day, Monday, April 12th at 8AM PDT - 11AM EDT - 4PM BST.

If you need help converting that to your local time zone, click here.

You can sign up to follow the presentation for free here.

If you've been living under a rock for the past weeks, here's a little preview of a new feature in CS5:

It's a shame Apple are now banning people from using Flash CS5's Flash-to-iPhone converter to produce iPhone Applications... :(

Yeah, Apple's taking things too far IMO. I'm curious to see if this functionality will still be present when people get their hands on Flash CS5. I assume they took it out already though.

Interesting detail: walked into an Apple store at the mall yesterday to find big (dummy) boxes of Adobe's software sitting on a shelf, one of them was for Flash, guess these guys didn't get the memo.

The event is now over, I have to say that I'm impressed by some of the new features, particularly in Photoshop CS5. I'm also impressed by some of the things they showed you could do with features that were already in previous versions, as well as new CS5 features that had already been leaked (like content-aware fill).

I'm really excited to get my hands on this, can't wait :).

If you missed the event or just want to see more of CS5, go to Adobe TV. It seems to be down at the time or writing though (possibly because there's too many people trying to access it right now).

For example, the standard selection tools got a little update so that if you accidentally forgot to select a small part of the render you want to cut out, you can use a new little addition to still include that in the selection. Another one is a feature that was in Premiere Pro that they now also put in Photoshop. This allows you to make for example a person's arm, or a lion's tail in a certain position by simply adding a couple of handles to it. Before, the best you could do was cut it up or distort it or something, which is a pain in the ass. It's called Puppet Warp:
